Jason Siff was a Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka in the late 1980s, where he began studying Pali and teaching meditation. Books by Camille Maurine & Lorin Roche

Camille Maurine is a dancer who started meditating in 1972, and in 1975 began teaching meditation and body awareness in the context of her dance classes. She has been involved in various forms of meditation, yoga and psychology and travels widely to give performances and workshops.

Lorin Roche started meditating in 1968 in a research project on the phsyiology of meditation. Trained in 1970 as a meditation teacher, he has been active ever since, working with students from all walks of life. In 1975 he began reinventing meditation from the ground up, for Westerners, and he completed his master's thesis in 1985 focusing on the hazards of meditation, and his Ph.D. in 1987 for his study of the language that meditators use to descrive their inner experiences.
